SDX Session (Customer Support): Delight Customers With Your Face (or the face of someone you work with)

Sarah-Mei Estrada, Wistia
Room 323, 10:00-11:00 Description: Have you ever wondered, "Gosh. How do customers know they are talking with an awesome human and not a really nice robot?" Well, you're in for a treat -- video is here! Personalized video is one way to help make your support more human and surprisingly delightful, whether that's a video explaining a concept or a video to welcome a new user. By the end of this workshop, you'll have created a friendly, personalized video that's ready to be sent off to one of your customers!

Before this workshop, please: 1.) Identify 1 to 3 users/customers who you'd want to send a video to (some ideas: a brand new customer, a long-time customer, someone who recently wrote in with a support question). 2.) Send S-M your answer to this question "What has prevented you from making & sending more personalized video to your customers?"
Please bring to the workshop: REQUIRED: Something to record a video with! Laptop with working webcam Laptop should include some type of video recording software. If you want a screencast, you'll want to make sure you have a tool that does that (Quicktime Player has this ability). If you don't have that, then a smartphone camera works great, too! OPTIONAL: Attendees may want to have a video sharing software, for ease of sharing the video with a user. The outcome of this workship will be the creation of a video, so attendees may want to think ahead to how they will share it. Some video sharing solutions: Wistia, Youtube, Vimeo, Vidyard.
